Concert Reviews & Photos Sara bareilles @ The House of Blues 10/22/08 Sara Bareilles made her first local Headlining stop at the House of Blues Wednesday evening, bringing Louisiana soul rocker Marc Broussard with her to gently rock the place. Marc opened the evening doing an amazing job as usual, giving a bit of a more mellow set to set the tone for Sara. She came onstage starting the night with her usual first three songs "Vegas," "Bottle it Up," and "Morningside." Telling the audience they went bowling the night before so her arm was sore.. she also proudly stated that her scores were 123 and 62. Later in the evening it was quite refreshing to get to see her on guitar and out from behind the piano. A major highlight for me was actually at the piano though, getting to hear the number "Between the Lines" which she described as "&$%*ing crushing" She also treated the audience to a new song titled August Moon and transfused some songs into her own such as Viva la Vida into the title track of her album Little Voice.. a song which didn't actually make the album ironically. The set list was pretty flawless and the production was good. I’ve been a fan of her for a while now and it did however leave me craving a more stripped down set from her.
