Jump When I'm Gone Addicted The End Me Against the World Your Love Is a Lie Time to Say Goodbye I Can Wait Forever Thank You Welcome to My Life I'd Do Anything What If Untitled God Must Hate Me Encore: Crazy Perfect Review Monday night Simple Plan made one of very few stops on their American Tour at the Palladium Ballroom in Dallas. Touring to promote their latest album. This was the first time I had ever seen the band so I had no clue what to expect. Pierre sounded good and they were incredibly active and all over the place. While shooting my first three I had to dodge a crazy move by David so I didn’t take a bass to the face! That would’ve left a mark! While the house wasn’t that packed, the hundreds of fans that did come out were eating it up. Singing along, jumping around, waving their hands, laughing at Davids banter between songs, and I’m sure enjoying when Pierre hopped offstage and up on the barricade to get a little closer. I will say I know some Simple Plan stuff, but I’ve never been huge into them. I even hated their song “I’m Just a Kid” for the longest time, thanks to my stint working for Blockbuster, where it happened to play every 2 hours on the trailer tape for a month. That said, they do have several songs I do like. My favorite of the night was actually “Perfect” because I liked the arrangement with Pierre on acoustic guitar for the first half.
